Start the cash-out and stop before you confirm. The fee is on that screen — it is the gap between the amount you asked for and the amount that will arrive.

Three places the line hides

  • The cash-out screen. Earnings, then Cash out or Transfer. The fee sits next to the destination card, sometimes as a flat amount, sometimes as a percentage with a minimum.
  • The help center. Search “instant” or “transfer fee”. This is where per-transfer versus per-payout is actually spelled out.
  • The payout method. Several platforms charge nothing on their own branded debit card and charge on an outside card. Same app, different price.

What to compare it to

Not to zero — to the free transfer you would get by waiting, and to what waiting actually costs. If the bill clears either way, the fee bought nothing. If waiting means the account goes negative, the comparison is the $35 overdraft fee (B9 internal research, September 2026), and the instant fee is likely the smaller number.

Then do the yearly version. A fee paid once is convenience. The same fee on every payout, week after week, is a standing cut of your wage. Multiply it out once and decide deliberately instead of tapping through it.

One rule

Do not take a fee figure from any article, including this one. Platforms change them, and they differ by payout method and by account age. The screen in your hand is the only current source.
